Who we are

I am a Tennessee native who got a Ph.D. in. Microbiology from the University of Tennessee in 2004. I have been doing genetics work since well before that (starting in the late ‘90s). I have designed these types of PCR-based assays since the early 2000s. I have published scientific papers using qPCR assays that I designed. I have genetically engineered both bacteria and yeast so I am very familiar with PCR-based genetic tests. I was a professor at a University for several years (prior to moving to industry) where I taught hundreds of students how to perform proper aseptic techniques, which means that I know how to handle samples properly without cross-contamination. Your samples are in expert hands when you send them to Black Cat Genetic Testing.
